REAL TECHNIQUES MIRACLE COMPLEXION SPONGE

Ever since hearing about the beauty blender I have really wanted one because I had never used a sponge to apply my foundation. Obviously the beauty blender is super expensive and I could never bring myself to buy one especially since I have brushes that I can use.

I then found out about the real techniques complexion sponge since it's only new to boots and because I love the brushes I was intrigued by it. I watched a lot of reviews about it and people were saying how it's a great dupe for the beauty blender and that they would recommend trying it instead of a beauty blender because it's only €6 so of course I couldn't not buy it and a few days later I picked it up.

Above is the sponge before(left) and after(right) it was dampened. I put it beside a baby lips because I thought it would help show it's size better. It does get quite a bit larger after it's wet but it's a bit hard to tell from the pictures.

I really do like this sponge, especially with thicker foundations. I used it first with my Garnier BB cream and it worked well but I felt that it soaked it up a bit since it's such a thin consistency. I then tried it with my Revlon colorstay and I absolutely loved it. I don't like the result I get from using a brush with this foundation and I don't like to use my hands so I am over the moon that I found something that works. It blends it so nicely and evenly and doesn't leave any kind of streaks and I couldn't be happier with it. I also used it around the eyes for concealer and it worked really nicely.

Definitely definitely give this a try, it's a great sponge. I can't compare it to the beauty blender because I have never had one but after using this I don't care about getting a beauty blender anymore since this does such a great job. And it's only €6! Thanks for reading :)

  1. I got a really cheap sponge from Primark yesterday and I know it isn't obviously gonna be the best quality but I was really disappointed I don't really want to spend the money to get this one!! :-(

    1. I know for a sponge it's a bit expensive but it is sooo worth it, unless you're happy with the way you apply your make up then you wouldn't really need it but it's so great :)
